October 10 (Sat) - MAKE A FACE for TRICK or TREAT
11 - 11:45am
Smiley, scary, or even silly: the choice is yours in this special Halloween session where you can create your very own mask to wear trick or treating. A special guest from The Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal will also be here to talk about their exhibits.
October 17 (Sat) - HARVEST PORTRAITS with CINCINNATI ART MUSEUM
11 - 11:45am
In this Happen session you can play with your food. Learn how artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo used vegetables to create detailed portraits that can fool the eye. Make your own paper portrait and learn how vegetables and art are good for you.
October 20 (Tue) - MUMMIES AND MOMMIES
5 - 5:45pm
Get ready to turn your Mommy into a Mummy as we explore Egyptian Art. Learn about the treasures of ancient pharaohs and meet the mysterious and spooky "King Toot" as we go back in time.
October 21 (Wed) - CLAY PUMPKIN OPEN STUDIO (all day)
3:30 - 7:30pm
Stop by anytime to turn an ordinary lump of clay into a beautiful pumpkin or jack-o-lantern to celebrate the Fall season. Will yours have a funny face or a scary face? The choice is yours!
October 22 (Thu) - DEM BONES
5 - 5:45pm
We’ll be digging up lots of fun when an impatient archaeologist drops by Happen to show off his collection of “rare” bones. Create your own pose-able paper skeleton from different types of paper bones.
October 24 (Sat) - HAPPEN’S FREE HALLOWEEN PUMPKIN PARTY (All Day)
10am - 3:30pm
100 Pumpkins are ready to carve. Our Happen volunteers have scooped and cleaned out your future work of art. Child-safe carving tools provided. So leave the stress and the mess to Happen and get ready to sculpt art for your front porch this Halloween. This program is free. Seating and supplies are limited.
October 25 (Sun) - BYOProject
4 - 6:30pm
This special event brings all different types of crafts and arts to one place where individuals can work on projects and socialize at the same time. Bring your own project, from Knitting to Painting and everything in between.
October 27 (Tue) - COPY CATS AND SPOOKY PRINTS
5 - 5:45pm
Our resident copy cat will learn about a spooky print from artist Francisco Goya and about the art of printmaking. This session will leave a lasting impression because you will have a chance to make your own Halloween print. Don't miss this holiday activity that is sure to be a treat.
October 28 (Wed) - CREEPY CRAWLING SPIDERS

You’ve never seen spiders like this! Create your own six-legged creepy crawly spiders just in time for Halloween. You’re sure to get caught up in a web of fun, so don’t miss this special Halloween session.
October 29 (Thu) - MONSTER MASH UP

It’s the last session before Halloween, and things are getting crazy as Happen’s Scientist, Dr. Happenstein, needs help with his latest monster creation. Make your own paper monster with parts supplied by Happen and learn all about the art of collage.
October 31 (Sat) - HAPPEN HALLOWEEN (All-Day Special Event)
10am - 5pm
We’re celebrating Halloween with a special spooky day. Come dressed up in your ghoulish gear and visit three different activity stations where you’ll design your own mask, create a special light-up trick-or-treat bag, and make some delicious snacks!
